Third party candidates stand zero chance of winning and can only serve to take a vote away from Biden, the least awful option

There are a bunch, sadly none of them stand a chance, despite being better candidates. In the upcoming election, voting for Biden results in a better outlook in every aspect. I’ve always voted 3rd party, but I pivoted last election cycle because anything is better than Trump, and I recognize that. Once he’s out of the picture I’ll go back to third party.

The US Green Party is just a useful puppet for Russia. Unfortunately that’s the reality of a FPTP voting system. If people don’t like it then they can try to organize grass roots changes in order to bring about longterm systemic change. But sadly too many voters just wake up once every four years, see that there isn’t a single candidate that perfectly aligns with their world view, and then just spite vote or spite abstain.

It’s like the ultimate form of taking democracy for granted; democracy isn’t just voting in one election every four years. There’s loads of local elections, primaries, and campaigning in between that have equal or even more impact on people’s daily lives, and which influence the candidates that appear on the presidential ballot.

      Why can’t you tell us?

You’re saying you’ll support a fucking mysterious stranger shows how serious you are about creating a positive change.

More like: “Your vote is wasted in a 2 party system where winner takes all. So if you don’t vote for genocide Joe, you help turbo genocide Donny”

No you aren’t. You’re being told that this is all that’s happening, but you aren’t going to look for yourself.

    Woah

It’s almost like there is a shitload of political conversations lately. I have no idea why lmao

The biggest cause for Israel’s overreaction and the continuing genocide of palestinians was the actions of Hamas on October 7th. Blame folks on the other side of the planet all you want, but actions cause reactions. It’s always been this way.

I blame the IDF and Hamas for escalating. Religious fuckwits pulling us back a century or two should carry the blame for their blind hatred leading the world into this conflict.

not sure why everybody’s butt is hurting over this comic

Biden has ran on this platform his entire four years

if his wrinkled catholic ass and his prosecutor wanted to do a better campaign and presidency they could but as it stands him and her just look like outdated, police loving, religious, zealots standing in the way of progress just like republicans

both parties are actively saying “I am not that other guy.” and “We failed to get shit done because of that other guy and his guys”

also both parties say you are wasting your vote voting third party

at this point it is running like a cheesy ad with a company who says buy our product because the competitor’s offering sucks never bringing up actual pros and cons

Politics in 2024, I have read quite a few relatable comics in my life but this takes the cake.

I think it’s interesting folks take this as talking about Biden.

Biden has a platform, Biden and the Democrats have accomplishments … what does Trump have?

“DEMOCRATS ARE DESTROYING THIS COUNTRY!!” “HEALTHCARE IS A MESS!! I’VE GOT A BRILLIANT PLAN I DIDN’T PASS OR EVEN PROPOSE IN CONGRESS LAST TIME. WE’RE GOING TO GET IT DONE THIS TIME. IT WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT THE DEMOCRATS CAME UP WITH. NO I’M NOT SHARING IT NOW, YOU MUST BE SURPRISED.”

This cartoon might reflect my local council election where everyone running is an NPR liberal but it definitely doesn’t reflect the US presidential election, where there are very big and clear differences between the candidates.

Anyone who says otherwise is pushing an agenda.

I mean… I usually agree with the sentiment the comic is trying to convey, but OTOH the “My Opponent” in this case is Trump.

Gotta admit, not being a convicted felon and a public sex offender is kinda tight as an election campaign

Seriously though, istg, deontologists are about to singlehandedly give Trump his victory

When opponent is Trump, isn’t that exactly the right thing to do?

FYI: Most of those braindead “am I not allowed to criticize Biden???” comments and posts on social media are a concerted effort by right-wingers from /pol and other such sewers, trying to get people to not vote against Trump. Don’t fall for it. These aren’t “lefties” or “tankies”. Just downvote, report, and ignore.
