There’s another free OSM based app that does have some traffic data, it’s called Magic Earth. Not open source though, as their business model is to sell adapted versions.
What does the size of the country have to do with it? Which good big and bad small countries are you talking about?
I think EveryDoor requires some relatively deep understanding of OSM before actually being a useful tool. So edits like this should be rare with that tool. Many of the edits like this are from when MapsMe was very popular and suddenly introduced editing, without enough nuance in the process. Bad edits do happen everywhere, you need a good balance between people who data curation and newbies making beginner mistakes. In some places, there’s a lack of experienced people maintaining the data.
Isn’t it as much about showing up to vote than about changing minds who to vote for?
More women as state leaders you say? So we might finally see female leaders in countries like India, Argentina, the UK, Pakistan, France, Turkey, Bangladesh, Ukraine or Germany if only the US would be the shining example to the world?! I’m sorry, but when it comes to social progress, the best the US can hope for is finally catching up. Any option to be examplary was definitely gone by maybe the 1970s
A reminder of what they are willing to do, while Ukraine has a little expedition going on inside Russia?
As someone who lives under representative representation, I totally agree that FPTP should go. But being against that system doesn’t have to ve a leftist strategy. I think everyone who does not feel represent by the two big parties can get behind a change there. Pushing that idea across the spectrum could be helpful. It might even be an idea to start an alliance party with as only program point an overdue constitutional reform. You wouldn’t need other policies: simply reform & hold new elections as soon as possible afterwards
Do as the other poster said. The Benelux is also a place where you could probably work with just English. Bonus points if you manage to get a job where you’re allowed to work from, say Portugal (for the weather and the low living costs) Good luck on the job hunt!
Have you looked into the European job market? From what little I know, I have the impression here that kind of profile can pick among any number of jobs.
I wouldn’t even let him watch his own daughter
Someone should invent a game, that while playing demonstrates how much monopolies suck for everyone involved (except the monopolist)
If you use median, removing or not of 1000 people from a pool of millions indeed has zero impact. My guess is that they worded it like that because they assume people don’t knownwhat a median is, so they describe the practical effect
They are not excluded, it’s just the the number of people is used, not the amount of money
Bolivians don’t need CIA approval to plot a coup
Do you really think there is no alternative? Isn’t it more a matter of making place for an alternative, and then it will turn up?
I totally understand that (and Im sorry for your loss). But that objectively helps the guy who would not care at all (as opposed to at least trying to put a little bit of pressure) and actually encourage them to go for an even more radical “final solution”. Voting is always picking the least evil. The US system simply does not allow you a serious choice - it would be better to direct your anger against that system, instead of against the least evil of the real options.
I’m pretty sure they’ll do increasingly farcical votes for some time after.
There’s millions of Venezuelans in Colombia, Ecuador and further South. But their options there are for more limited than in the US.
