He’ll likely be playing tennis at minimum security Club Fed if it’s federal, but Georgia doesn’t seem to do special treatment. If he goes in on Georgia state charges, he could end up in a for real penitentiary.
I’d be shocked if he gets anything more than house arrest
Any sort of prison time would risk his neo Nazi army attempting monthly jailbreak attempts.
Which is not a reason to avoid locking him up.
His Neo Nazi army is a meal team 6 joke IRL, society should not fear them.
A Meal Team Six joke that took the Capitol.
Except . . . they didn’t “take” jack shit, except one that did on the marble floors of one hallway. They assaulted some officers, came in, rooted around, posed on some desks, took some inconsequential stuff, smeared shit on the walls, and were forced to leave again before getting to even the first lawmaker or Electoral College vote box.
It was like someone let monkeys out of cages: only a few hours before they were collected and the site made secure. I’ve seen high schoolers breaking into school with more aptitude and discipline than these fools.
“Take the Capitol,” lol, no. They had seven objectives and didn’t achieve a single one. Five people died for losers who couldn’t even complete so much as the first objective of their plan.
“Florida Man With 91 Felony Charges Worried He Might Serve Prison Time.”
“Several millions of Americans worried he won’t”
To be fair, we’re also worried that, if he does, his followers will go violent again. Not that this is a reason to excuse him him prison. It just means that it might not be all rainbows and puppies if Trump goes to prison. Our celebrations might be interrupted by home grown right wing terrorist attacks.
home grown right wing terrorist attacks.
They’re going to do that regardless, and already are. There are very good reasons why appeasing terrorists is a truly bad idea, and first among them is that it not only doesn’t work, it guarantees more and worse.
I’ll believe it when I see it. We will never see him behind bars. Two tiered justice system.
He won’t go and both sides don’t want him to go. It sets a presidence that they the rich ruling class is weak to the rules.
Nah, if you think, say, AOC or Bernie Sanders wouldn’t love to see the door slam behind 45, I think you’re mistaken.
Same here. Anyone who cares about the rule of law, about not having a king, and about the peaceful transfer of power wants to see his ass locked up.
“When you guys put somebody in the car and you’re protecting their head, you know, the way you put their hand over?” Trump said, miming the physical motion of an officer shielding a suspect’s head to keep it from bumping against the squad car. “Like, don’t hit their head, and they just killed somebody — don’t hit their head,” Trump continued. “I said, you can take the hand away, okay?”
I hope the prison guards remember this, it’s only fair.
