Something about the Business Plot that I can’t believe goes overlooked is how much one of the players has had an outsize affect on our government for almost 100 years now:

How did Gerorge Bush senior, grandson of Prescott Bush, potential suspect in a coup, becoming CIA director not raise some giant fucking red flags? He goes on to become vice-president, then president. And 8 years later his son becomes president thanks to the 2000 Supreme Court decision that came about because of the Brooks Brothers Riot

I’m not saying any of that is irrefutable proof of anything underhanded but fuckin’ hell isn’t it a super strange chain of events.
