250 is extremely close to the majority, and with the more extreme members of the “regular right” and potentially some of the aligning with them, they very well may have control over the parliament

I don’t think most people truly understand what the FN/RN really is. I’m pretty sure they see it as a standard hard right party, tough on crime, and the likes.

It’s mostly Macron’s own centrist coalition and the moderate right that have lost voters. The left is up compared to the last election. The question is whether or not the centrists will support the left as the left supported the centrists last time, since the left is now the bigger of the two factions. Together they have the votes to win
