2 months agoMy mum has compromised health. She caught COVID from my dad and I got to appreciate the experience of being told she is dying from my sister, who happened to work at the hospital she was admitted to. Although my mum survived, not every family were as lucky as we were.
Everyone I know got vaccinated and are current still alive and well. I personally will always stand on the side of medicine, however I live in a country with free healthcare and I’m not subject to the concept of “Big Pharma”.
Although we all experienced the pandemic differently, overall the vaccine has been more of a boon for society as a whole. Fear of vaccinations is why previously considered “obsolete” diseases such as measles are making a comeback.
I recycle everything so personally don’t have much need for the tether, but it’s probably better overall and I imagine most people will just get used to it, honestly.
It is a bit annoying having to make sure my nose doesn’t get bonked when I drink, though.
