What web 3.0 implies are great, what it actually is in its current form is not. Simply focusing on FOSS should be enough for now and there’s a shit ton of really good FOSS like this medical practise software as well as stuff inspired by Open Source culture itself like the Open Source Ecology.

0·4 months agoA lot of the privacy aspects mentioned in the article would apply but the extra features(like facebook container) would not. The extension support is also an issue since the extensions themselves have their own privacy policies, so if you get any which are hosted on google owned chrome web store all your privacy cautiousness goes down the drain unless you’re using a vpn.
Firefox addons also have their own privacy policies but you can simply choose the ones with open source licenses so it should be rather simple to be more protected.

6·5 months agoThis was the first thing that came to my mind as well and VI is such an apt term too. But since we live in the shittiest timeline Electronic Arts would probably have taken the Blizzard/Nintendo route too and patented the term.
What shit app were you trying to use, get feeder and add the proper topic specific rss if you want to categorize like “business”. I never even get the time to read through all the news because there are literally hundreds of articles being added to the feed daily.

Buried in clutter yes but it also got me into electronic repair and frugality so I can’t say it doesn’t have its merits, wish it were easier to keep clean though.
