Still playing Metaphor, I’m really enjoying it. I think I’m around halfway through. The story is going in an interesting direction, and the gameplay is still fun, altho I’m always feeling a bit underleveled.

Metaphor! I’m at the third town and loving every part of it.
I’m kinda struggling with the difficulty on hard, so I might turn it down a bit, as the resources feel a little too strict and stressful, but it also makes finishing a dungeon more satisfying.
Its in my wishlist! I’m waiting for it to release tho, I don’t really like playing early access games and risk getting tired of them before release.
Not op, but I’ve been playing the series (just finished the sixth game, Cold Steel), and I’d suggest not starting from a later point in the series, as every game references the previous ones in some way. Although even if they didn’t, I’d still suggest starting from Sky, then playing Zero and Azure, as they are really good (and imo much better games than CS).
Started Horizon Zero Dawn. I usually don’t like open world games, but this one has an interesting setting and the gameplay seems fun, so I’m giving it a try.
Finally finished Trails of Cold Steel which was meh. It felt needlessly padded (it could have been shortened to like 30 hours instead of 60 IMO) and there were too many uninteresting characters (I actually can’t think of an interesting one). Hopefully the following games are better, as now the setting should be more interesting.
I have, lol.
But there’s still gonna be Switch games I already own and don’t wanna rebuy or exclusives I wanna play.
That’s a shame if it’s true. I found the original uncomfortable and painful to hold, I was hoping for something more like the Steam Deck.
Recently played through I and II and they were great. Kinda wanna see the bump combat in more games: it was really satisfying.
Really? Why’s that? Did 2 lose something or it’s more of a personal preference/vibes thing?
Crimzon Clover’s really fun. It’s similar to Dodonpachi. Another good one is Ikaruga. It has an interesting mechanic we’re you switch colors to absorb bullets.
Avoid Sine Mora and other “euroshmups”, they just suck to play.
Playing through the Trails series, just finished the Crossbell arc which was fantastic.
Tried playing Tales of Arise, but I’m not really liking it. The combat seems fine for now, albeit a bit clunky, but the story started off really weak and after the first lord I’m not really interested. I got Vesperia too, so I might try that.
A few I’ve played with a friend of mine: the We Were Here series, Portal 2, Monster Hunter World, Factorio and Deep Rock Galactic (which we both didn’t like, but it’s pretty popular)
This week I finished Trails in the Sky SC which was good, although I enjoyed FC’s story’s smaller scope more. Tried playing Sea of Stars, but I felt like the writing was so bad I couldn’t play more than like 3 hours. So I started and finished Chrono Trigger over the weekend which was great and I’m surprised it exists on SNES.
Now playing Bravely Default II (just started) .
As someone who plays fighting games only for the multiplayer: I hate having to unlock the characters, as I’d be either forced to play a character I’m not interested in or a mode I don’t care about.
I learned a bit of FORTH because an old Minecraft mod (Redpower 2) had a computer that could run it.
FFXV, while flawed, is a good game and it’s the only one that feels like an actual journey.
Lies of P is better than From’s souls games.
I hate the Joycons so much. The clicky buttons are terrible, the split dpad sucks for games that use it for movement, the sticks aren’t great either for precision (ignoring the drift issues), and I find them painful to hold.
::: spoiler I searched around the room, completed few puzzles and I got the film roll (which I’m guessing is used to win the game, since the slime says to defeat “him”), but I’m not seeing anything else. :::
I just stated playing it and… It’s just a roguelike? I don’t get what you mean.
I think I’m close to finishing Metaphor. I have a few sidequests left before what I think is going to be the final dungeon/sequence. It’s been great, and I only have very small complaints about things that don’t really matter.
