Yeah, the problem with combative democrats is that they turn off the core democratic voters whereas that personally trait is accepted and fostered by republicans. Order and decorum is the reason blue voters vote blue, they want security and predictability and in theory could have a well oiled machine. Red voters seem to enjoy the underdog/victimhood/anti authority stance and embrace loud edgy individuals (Alex Jones, Trump, fox, etc).
