Rectal sensors work too but can be a pain in the ass to get setup.

I think it’s more nefarious than that. Many departments want a good 'ol boys club where they’re the ultimate authority and they want their officers to fall in line rather than question department actions.
I’ve been eyeing an Ioniq 5 for about 18 months now and just checked local pricing again and they haven’t budged an inch on pricing (even now with 2024 models being sold with 2023 models left on the lot) nor are they even carrying inventory outside of the most expensive trim packages of Limited AWD. I’m interested in range, so I’m wanting a Limited RWD but they aren’t being stocked.
This article screams “I’m not doing my job and it’s all your fault!”
How is it annoying? I try to wall mount every TV because then I can move it around or angle it easily and it looks 100x better than hanging halfway off a bedside table.
Who said this is a liberal platform?
Nobody. You’re the only person trying to define what platform you believe lemmy to be.
Sounds like he should have thought about that before having kids.
That was obviously tongue-in-cheek pointing out the flaw in saying “let’s just cut usage.” A majority of industry uses that energy to support the human population. You can’t just cut it off. It’s an untenable solution just like reducing the population to 100 million.
Are you accounting for stuff like SATA cables and cradle mounts for the HDDs in your cost calculation?
I have Ad Guard installed and still use UBlock Origin for its features.
I think I read in another post that this occurs if you’re using Cloudflare DNS. I have the same thing happen even if I open the link outside of Lemmy.
I believe they can also load all that debt into these acquisitions before taking what they want and selling the rest off in bankruptcy, no?
Yeah they even included the fearmongering tropes about colorful packaging and stores being near schools.
Same but the nihilist in me wants them to do it anyways. Better to rip the bandaid off in one go than to deal with jumping through hoops for several years until they ultimately remove it from Google search anyway. With a clean break, we can start rebuilding that trove of knowledge somewhere else and hopefully not all in one place again.
About the same time they stopped being relevant too. This is another one of those great American zombie companies that continues to live on simply based off inertia from successes of decades past.
That doesn’t help with the garlic burps though. I’ve heard drinking mouthwash can help, especially when you’re going through alcohol withdrawals, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
I don’t have any sympathy for Cook, nor do i think it’s a bad verdict, but shooting someone is a pretty extreme response to having a phone held near your face/ear for 20 seconds.
Yes, USB-PD requires a handshake confirming that both the charger and device are capable of using it.
I didn’t look any further than the article listing the power supply as 5V5A so its good that it supports higher voltages, but really odd that it’d push out 25W at 5V as this is very demanding on the wiring since it has internal resistance which causes the voltage to drop with increasing length. The whole purpose of USB-PD is to up the voltage while reducing current to mitigate losses (and heat and wire thickness) and supply much higher wattage without having to use chunky wiring. This has been an issue with the Pi for quite a while which is why you always hear troubleshooting responses talking about having too small of a power supply. Now they’ve upped the power requirements while still using a 5V baseline. I did see the article mention that it has a voltage regulator capable of handling 20A of current so maybe it’s just poorly worded with regards to the official power supply.
Even still I wonder if they could have added USB-PD capabilities in order to use 9V or 15V to bring the current down. A 5V 5A USB supply is very unique (even the previous 5V 3A was niche) as standard USB supplies that we’re all used to typically max out at 2.5A. $12 for the official power supply is a decent price but you’re severely limited on options if you don’t have the official supply.
N64 has unique architecture that makes it very challenging to emulate even on hardware several orders of magnitude more powerful. I’ve struggled to run it on a full-size PC with a 7th gen i5 processor.
Nah it’s a counter to statements like this: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/28/us/politics/biden-speech-economy-chicago.html
