Companies once vocal online about Pride Month, like Nike and Target, have refrained from posting about Pride Month on social media following backlash from conservative customers last year.
I don’t need Apple going on about LGBTQ+ in my country when it’s already accepted here. It’s funny how in the places where it should be promoted like Saudi or Russia that they keep quiet there.
I used to work for Apple and I’d raise these points in the daily meetings on the shop floor. It’s the same for green shirts to celebrate Earth day, by manufacturing green shirts and then shipping them around the globe. It’s all a facade.
It’s nice to see corporations not co-opting minority identities for profit.
It’s not so nice that bigots are feeling empowered by having silenced LGBTQ+ “allies.” However if they’re hoping to provoke a reaction among their enemies, though, I don’t think it’s going to happen - we all hated that performative nonsense lol
