Why on earth would it show me this in Music then proceed to open in the browser, ask me to sign in and then only allow you to add them to library one at a time.
For a company that normally nails UI/UX this is ridiculous. Like this would be great in the actual music app as we could read the accompanying text about the albums whilst listening to them, alas this is so bad that I’ll just not even bother.
Edit: I did manage to find the section where you can add the albums to your library, one… at… a… time…
They’re highlighting one album at a time in AM and not the whole list which is what I expected. Definitely a weird flow.
Have you ever used iTunes? Apples music UI has always been dogshit. I find using any of their music stuff to be a chore. If Google wasn’t so evil I’d drop iOS in a heartbeat.
I have PTSD from the iTunes days. As someone who was a little too OCD about cover art and things back in the day, it would regularly does mess things up and undo all my work.
Plus I never forgave them or U2 for having the audacity to install one of their shitty albums and not allow removing it for some time.
I should really try Spotify as I won’t be going to Android as yeah Google sucks. Like Apple suck too but less so imo.
Due to the ability to have separate mainstream app stores I feel like android is pretty clearly better (though not good!) for competition. This is especially true if we count things like f-droid.
I kind of agree if that’s what you want, but I just want a phone that involves zero thinking on my part.
I’m not tech illiterate as I’m a software developer but the last thing I want is to have to research app Stores and suck in my phone. I just want to download YouTube and scroll for days. Back when I was younger though I’d live a pixel and playing with GrapheneOS. Life’s too short for that now.

What are the benefits of Tidal over Spotify and or Apple Music?
What makes you prefer it? Does it have just as much music.
My generes are Classical, UK Drill, Hip-Hop, Metal, and Jazz.
Edit: I just signed up for Tidal and after spending some time adding artists from different genres it looks pretty cool. I like how it seems to show new music as sometimes we can get stuck listening to the same stuff. I can feel a music binge this weekend now.
The catalogue seems largely identical to Spotify, but Tidal has higher quality music (I recently found an album in Dolby Atmos).
I also found their app to be more intuitive (which is not exactly a high bar compared to Spotify).
Most importantly though, Tidal has better rates for the artists instead of paying Joe Rogan.

Literally every feature I like from Apple devices except for widgets and the ability to remove an app from the home screen was added while Jobs was CEO.
Is that true or is that the tech peaked at that point anyway?
Like people main whenever a new phone comes out and it’s barely changed, but what they want from a phone these days they are peak right now.
People will moan like they gotta get a new one every year when really I’m changing every 4-5 years.

Allowing installation of any apps, not limiting certain apps while others aren’t. Etc.

That is coming, you just have to wait for someone to make a third party store. Personally I am not interested in that. If I was I would use a Google Pixel with GrapheneOS, but I just want my phone to be something I don’t have to think about or do any research on whether something is safe to install.
I’m a software developer so far from dumb when it comes to tech, but there comes a point in life where you just want the easy route. I’ll geek out with my PC or my 3D printer or whatever else, but my phone is required to be easy to use and require zero thought on my part.
