    That was always going to happen. Russia’s industrial base is collapsing and has been for a while, while China drools over the kind of natural energy and mineral resources that Siberia is full of. Plus, as climate change moves on and much of China overheats, those northern latitudes will continue to look more and more attractive. It’s beneficial for both sides of the respective imperialistic coin.
