“One woman miscarried in the restroom lobby of a Texas emergency room as front desk staff refused to admit her. Another woman learned that her fetus had no heartbeat at a Florida hospital, the day after a security guard turned her away from the facility. And in North Carolina, a woman gave birth in a car after an emergency room couldn’t offer an ultrasound. The baby later died.”
“Complaints that pregnant women were turned away from U.S. emergency rooms spiked in 2022 after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, federal documents obtained by The Associated Press reveal.”
“The cases raise alarms about the state of emergency pregnancy care in the U.S., especially in states that enacted strict abortion laws and sparked confusion around the treatment doctors can provide.”
Biden could have changed them back. But didn’t and let it happen. So who to blame?
How would he do that?
Biden does not have the magical power to undo SCOTUS decisions or state legislature shennaigans. Reublican obstructionists in the legislature will keep anything from being fixed through federal laws.
Only a moron would blame Biden. Republicans are to blame.
Tell me how long has he been in his office?? He could have made his stance clear. Is he willing to say that out loud now?
He responded pretty quickly with the amount of power he has as president.
I need to find a way to blame both sides instead of the one clearly doing most of the damage. Can’t you work with me, here?
