I saw those things, and yet, sadly, my brain was still trying to make sense of it all, rather than saying “yo, Bear, this image is all kinds of fucked up, probably not real”.
And I’m a cynical, suspicious bastard. We’re fucking doomed.
I like to imagine these AI image generators as a low-ranking alien intelligence officer charged with making dossiers on Earth and its lifeforms. It sees the photos and videos and writing and tries to summarize them into representative graphics, but doesn’t quite understand enough to get the details right.
