Does it matter that the GOP donors will pay his legal fees? That just means less money to campaign.
Im not sure it should be legal though. I am no longer a democrat so I have nothing on the line, but I’d still be frustrated if Biden was using DNC funds for personal shit
But Trump is trying very hard to conflate his legal fees with campaign costs, which is where it gets tricky. I cannot imagine a single penny of the E. Jean Carroll verdict counts as a “campaign expense” by even the broadest possible definition, but his legal expenses in regard to the attempted coup, fake electors, and other election fuckery could possibly be considered connected to his campaign.
I’m not clear on the legal separation between the RNC coffers and PAC money, but there is every likelihood that this is illegal on the face of it – or if not, exceedingly close to the line – depending on which specific legal fee the cash goes toward paying.
LOL so you are telling me he is actively committing crimes in the open that can be investigated and potentially tried in the coming years?
Can this man even get out of bed in the morning without committing a crime?

It’s not legal at all, nor ethical, to use campaign money for personal expenses.
