I just realized while cooking that a measuring-cup cup (as measured out as 250mL in a glass measuring cup) is the same as one of the actual baking measuring cups that go inside each other like Russian dolls lol

I thought they were different somehow (something something imperial metric yadda yadda yaddda)

    I didn’t bully anyone and I tried my best to avoid going down the rabbit hole of nuance that is seeing the whites or sides of someone’s eyes.

    You lot are turning lemmy into reddit. You’re bringing in the pedantic bullshit by people who don’t know what they don’t know. I guess I’ll go back to being a passive reader because you folks just can’t handle real conversations. I really wish I could find some place online without people who see being told they are wrong as bullying or being attacked. You folks are who the maggats are talking about when they call people snowflakes. Sometimes words are just words and the only meaning behind them is the actual dictionary definition.

      Dude, calm down. It’s just a discussion. Just give us an example of how I could see somebody’s eyes in a mirror without them seeing my eyes and we’ll all be amazed at how you were right all along.
