Your snipped links to the page I provided screenshots for and linked to. The one that literally says ‘retardation’ is considered outdated and offensive. Again, nice try.

Yes. The one I took the snippet from is the first one that opened when I clicked the search result. I didn’t know it was outdated as I didn’t do a deep dive. I also didn’t know retardation got renamed either. Sry, my bad. The term retarded means slow btw. The reason it got a negative connotation is because people used it negatively. I’m fairly certain the word is still widely used and also do I really need to like check like every word before I say it because it may or may not be the official one anymore?

When that is your claim? Yes you do.

I think we had a misunderstanding. I never claimed retardation is the official term in DSM-V at this point. I was trying to prove it’s different than low functioning autism since I (maybe wrongly) interpreted you thought they were the same thing. Ngl, I didn’t even know “retardation” is not the official used term anymore, and you can call me an asshole or uneducated for that and that’s fine. I have no interest in researching what is the newest most official term for stuff. Also, saying “retarded” way shorter then saying “a person with developmental disability”. We all know what I mean by the word and we all know I don’t mean it in a derogatory way.
