    Nazi country.

The American voters legacy will be as a lumped together Wikipedia entry on apathy, hate, and stupidity.

You think anything the US does is acceptable because some other country did something else? The children are right to laugh at you.

Here in Germany, we call it „Linksgrünversiffte Woke-nazis”. From the Name alone you should be able to tell what quadrant of the sewer system of reactionaries we are getting ourselves into.

No, I’m not. Even if I were, nothing in history justifies repeating fascism and it’s not your turn.

The gloves are off, America is fascist.

      It’s such a shame.

I get there’s a #NotAllVoters element as there is with any population, but when you have a majority of voters alongside a sizeable percentage of non-voters who don’t vote against it… well then you’ve got a country that has the president they deserve.

Its not the voters. Fascism is just the next logical step after late stage Capitalism. America is just a warning.

As the saying goes, “I don’t like to get political is a weird way of saying my rights aren’t up for debate every 4 years.”

Although in the past decade, it’s been closer to being up for debate every couple of days.

It truly is disgusting. I always take a full week to sit down and carefully research everyone and everything I’m voting for. I sit down for a few hours each night with my ballot and do a couple sections until it’s done. But unfortunately, most people are not as diligent as I am nor do they care about local politics. I don’t even consider myself to be a political person, but at least I do my civic duty. That seems to be lost in the American people.

You don’t even need to do this much to be at least semi-informed. It’s grim how many people vote without thinking because they just copy their parents.

My 60 year old mother in law only stopped doing this like, 4 years ago because her kids finally got her to admit that she just voted how her dad would have done out of respect or something. Madness.

Every single election, the League of Women Voters puts out responses to their surveys about candidates’ relevant viewpoints and platform. Every single election I have to remind people it even exists. It’s the easiest way to filter out candidates. Do their viewpoints align with mine? Did they even bother to respond to the survey?

Takes like 5-10 minutes easily. There’s simply no excuse.
