Good lord now things are warming up again my m. deliciosa is cooking up a new leaf. This thing is already nearly touching the ceiling. If I stop shitposting on here it’s because it has claimed me as fertiliser.

There really should be more politicians of a working class background representing the interests of ordinary people… instead we get that. :(

Also it’s a bit rich for an Aussie to tell anyone to go back where they came from…

Absolutely. The only good things from when I went to Uni was doing the aboriginal languages, and first nations culture. I have a lot of sources I saved to whip out for deniers haha.

There’s a harrowing recount of a massacre, written by a modern woman as a retort to another bloke who denies the genocides (they’re both academics), and I like to pull that one out for the shock value. I have it available but it’s nsfw

I once saw an interview on ABC of an old farmer from Gippsland , this was over 30 years ago, where he talks about giving local first nation families sacks of poisoned flour. He talked of finding the dead families, children included. He had no sense of shame or guilt. So the interview is about 40 years old now and the guy was about 80 talking about when he was in his 20s and 30s, so this was maybe 100 years ago, that’s still 20th century.

This is what it was like, individuals like this evil bastard committing murder.

I don’t know if there was any organisation by or talk among farmers to commit systematic genocide.

I have heard of two instances from the mouths of the perps. The Gippsland one and Northern Territory.

                  It was farmers, always graziers.

They would run families away from natural watering holes too, ( who would then of course die of thirst or hunger. ) There is a chapter on that in “We of the Never Never”.

Oh man. The hops which they send you through to fix your account is atrocious.

My one beef is that they keep sliming down branch locations and opening hours and it’s next to impossible to get it fixed at times.

I hope it’ll be fixed for you soon. Keep us updated!

That sounds really messed up. How on earth would this be managed if you were overseas?! And with branches being few and far between this really sucks. After the commbank outage recently I’m starting to think it might be beneficial to have accounts with multiple banks as a backup.

If you were out east side I’d spot you some cash… will you be OK for today and tomorrow?

You gotta stop giving those drug dealers an upfront payment before getting the goods. Especially if they tell you to desposit it via cashapp or PayPal lol.

Always cash when buying, and no pre-payment lol

Nah jokes aside that’s fucked up! Like wtf? And the fact they did it on the weekend when they aren’t open is evil. There isn’t an after hours number you could call? Or something you could do via the online portal? Idk I’m sorry

Yeah, but you’re juggling some manner of complicated health issue - I do not know what, and I’m not going to ask because that’s your business, but you’re very open about the notion that your health is complex.

The benchmarks might be in different places for you

Strong! I couldn’t do one now but I went from 0 to 12 in about 9 months a few years back. I know how hard it is! Keep at at it 💪💪💪 Edit: don’t mean to one up you. The first one is the hardest, if you’re at three now it’s going to be easier from here to build.

Ended up making a shit tonne of food, in addition to the dal and the slow cooked jackfruit, made a massive broccoli and pea and cashew curry that is bloody delicious if I say so myself. Not much progress with the jars and haven’t started pantry cull yet. But I don’t mind because I have momentum and a plan… and had a few nice family chats today so that was worth it.

Downside is I’ve picked up a nasty headache out of nowhere this arvo. I’m going to dish out this food, chuck everything in the dishwasher (I will fucking miss this dishwasher), finish the leftovers and call it a day. Gotta love winding down to Fresh Produce on PBS

I hope you feel better soon.

Give yourself a gentle shoulder shrug or three and see if you can feel any points of tension.

Pop some nurofen or panadol if you have any with your meal and that might make you feel better.

Thanks. Had some Nurofen earlier which did nothing. I am gonna have some again, plus extra water as I think I’m dehydrated. I suspect it’ll be better once I wake up. Feels like it was a reaction to something. So tired! I’m going to take it easy when I get back tomorrow.

I think I lucked out either environmentally or genetically. I always feel so awkward when allergies pop up in convos.

The old man (who’s a sub specialist doc) says “that’s because i didn’t care when you were crawling through the garden or dog shit as a kid”. I mean thanks but maybe it worked.

Me too. I don’t fully understand the grief people go through over allergies, as I don’t have any myself. I too credit my lax (by current standards) parents who turned us kids out of doors a lot so long as we stayed in a pack. Also many childhood pets, cleaning with soap and water only (no anti-bacterial shit). And home cooking by Mum, a survivor of the Great Depression and rabidly anti-waste of good food. Tea yes, but no coffee or lolly water for us kids either.

Onions and mushrooms cut and fried. Massive bowl of it that should last a good few days.

Air frying chicken tenders to be all assembled with Turkish bread and some sauce.

Back in one piece and now the process of operation de-bug guts begin…

They just love going kamikaze on me. Just me. ‘Cause I fully look like I love massive amounts of bug guts smeared across my line of sight.
