I’ll be honest, I never thought I’d see Kamala Harris pull a personality out of nowhere, but God bless her because she found the message she needed to pull this election out of the jaws of inevitable defeat. If you had asked me six months ago, I’d say having Harris at the top of the ticket would be a disaster for the election. And I’m happy to say I was wrong.

And I give a lot of credit to Tim Walz. As articulate as Obama was as a speaker, Walz has brought an energy and personality to the party that we haven’t seen from anyone that I can recall in my lifetime, and he seems to be the first one I’ve seen in a long time that can out-Trump trump when it comes to mudslinging if that’s where Trump wants to go. I think it was Mike Tyson that once said everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth, and Walz seems to be the first politician on either side of the aisle who seems to have remembered that, and has been landing jabs ever since and all but daring Trump to swing back. Trump’s interview today and his recent interview with Elon musk have shown that Walz has knocked a few proverbial (or maybe literal, if the Musk interview is an indication) teeth loose.

And it’s good to see the rising tide starting to raise the other boats.

I’d say the Walz pick has as much to do with it as anything.

Common knowledge. All politicians in DC are money hungry monsters who can’t even conceive of what life is like down in the trenches with the rest of us.

Then here comes Walz. Honest ordinary dude. No corruption. No evil scheming. Helps his people.

Not to take anything away from Harris herself. Old White Men have fucked up everything forever. Having a black woman president is a wonderful thing that is absolutely driving a lot of hype. Maybe even most of it.

All she has to do come Janurary to lock in dem control for a generation is follow thru on all that good shit she’s talking. Raising wages, going after food price gouging. Etc. Listening to protestors. But if she wins and becomes another warmongering business friendly asshole capitalist mouthpiece we’ll be right back here again in '28 with these fuckin chuds on the cusp of turning us into a theocracy again.

I think if you’re a “drain the swamp” Trump voter, this guy has to look pretty good to you.

    • Same. I was one of those calling for Joe to remain in the race. I thought he could have recovered from that debate performance, and he probably could, but I think he understood that the risk of it happening again was just too much.

Very happy to have been wrong.
