There are official tools… There just isn’t like a map editor or an easy to use visual toolset like Skyrim has. It’s a bunch of command line conversion tools and injectors.
The mod tool isn’t nearly as easy to use as bethesda’s, which is why it was impressive that someone actually implemented a rail system before it became official in 2.1, there was also a spider-man like mod to climb walls like the first few trailers. Also car shooting was a mod too.
This is what trying to mod Cyberpunk 2077 is like. Is some modicum of new gameplay too much to ask?
I feel the same way, but it’s because there’s no official modding tools.
I’ve put hundreds of hours into that game. I’d put even more in if there were decent content mods.
It’s a lot easier for people to inject assets, which is why we have 100000000 clothing mods, though.
Didn’t they just release the modding kit a couple weeks ago?
I think that was for the witcher but it might be for all the games in their engine, I’m not sure
