minus-squareInductor@feddit.delinkfedilinkarrow-up0·1 month agobase12 has the advantage of being divisible by 2, 3, 4 and 6, while base10 is only divisible by 2 and 5.

minus-squareuis@lemm.eelinkfedilinkarrow-up0·edit-230 days agoYou listed 2 twice(thrice if counting 6) for base12 and once for base10. Generally, when talking about bases better talk only about prime factors. Base12 has 2 and 3 as prime factors, while base10 has 2 and 5.

minus-squares_s@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·30 days agoYou don’t need to add or multiply time very often. Division is super important tho, and base60 is better than base10 for that.
Why no base10 clock?
