A career State Department official resigned from her post on Tuesday, saying she could no longer work for the Biden administration after it released a report concluding that Israel was not preventing the flow of aid to Gaza.

Stacy Gilbert, who served as a senior civilian-military advisor to the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), sent an email to staff saying she was resigning because she felt the State Department had made the wrong assessment, The Washington Post reported, citing officials who read the note.

The report was filed in response to President Joe Biden issuing a national security memorandum (NSM-20) in early February on whether the administration finds credible Israel’s assurances that its use of US weapons do not violate either American or international law.

The report said there were reasonable grounds to believe Israel on several occasions had used American-supplied weapons “inconsistent” with international humanitarian law, but said it could not make a definitive assessment - enough to prevent the suspension of arms transfers.

I feel like the question has been pretty straight forward and you keep doing your damndest to avoid answering it. Come November do you want me to vote for Biden, vote for Trump, vote third party, or not vote? None of what you described answered that and nothing you listed forces me not to participate in November. So what is it?

It was, they answered it, you’re just pushing more because you don’t realize you failed your gotcha.

      You asked:

What do you want me to do differrently

And they answered with what they wanted you to do. What you do specifically about voting is irrelevant as that was not the topic at hand.

They did not answer the question that was asked. Saying it’s irrelevant doesn’t change that fact.

The question: what do you want us to do differently?

The answer: Mass protests. Civil disobedience. The kinda of things that ended slavery and helped raise women’s rights. The things we used to do instead of sitting down and just taking it.

          God, that was hard

Oh give me a break I outlined the options in the first comment clearly illustrating it. We are talking about voting or not voting for Biden. If you don’t see that than either you are overly prescriptive with language and leave zero room for inference or you are lying through your teeth in service of winning an Internet argument on behalf of someone else who has had multiple comments removed by the moderators for good reason.

And let’s even concede you don’t find the first comment adequate, the follow up comments clearly ask it over and over. Frankly you’re just being dishonest or you didn’t read the comments.

No, you tried to make it about that after someone else commented without specification on that front.

And let’s even concede you don’t find the first comment adequate, the follow up comments clearly ask it over and over

Oh no, why didn’t people respect the moved goalposts?

          Fucking Idiot you are, bud
