My current guess is that DeSantis will unsuspend his campaign after Trump unceremoniously sinks under the weight of his legal cases and the Trump base seamlessly switches to New Trump because his politics are close enough and he carefully avoided getting into fights with Trump, so he has no baggage for that sector.
