McConnell should be seen as a superhero for the republicans. He got more done for the party than pretty much any past republican senate leader. He didn’t even really go against Trump. He voted for his acquittal. Twice! He just said Trump should be held accountable by someone else, and that was enough to be considered a slight against Trump.
