I just realized while cooking that a measuring-cup cup (as measured out as 250mL in a glass measuring cup) is the same as one of the actual baking measuring cups that go inside each other like Russian dolls lol
I thought they were different somehow (something something imperial metric yadda yadda yaddda)

I used to use the sun.
Then I had a car compass for a while.
But, honestly, everyone’s got a GPS-enabled cell phone these days, and unless you’re worried about running out of charge, that pretty much beats the pants off anything else.
You at least know how to use the sun. There are many who have never bothered to learn.
Technically, you could say we’re the ones who set since it’s the Earth’s rotation causing the change.

I know right! Whenever I do the mnemonic of NESW, North is always directly in front of me. Dont know why people bother with compasses, it’s pretty simple.
Don’t worry, daughter, I know we’re going south because I set in the same location I was already in.
