  • lichess integration so every unresolvable argument can be decided by a chess duel. A bot reacts when it’s called by a command (plus arguments to customize the game) and drops a link (only OP can access and play, others join as spectators). Results are then posted as a reply. It’s not possible atm, but I guess lichess devs are based and won’t mind a little customization on their side for that silly matter. Federating with them would be a way to null many people’s bingo cards.

I could take sterilized roaches. Their power in that their population grows like hell. But 1000 you can kill off and that’s settled? Okay, deal. Guess, the first hunt would take a half of them for good.

A person? You obviously can’t kill them in most jurisdictions unless you are a LEO. But I’d look forward to reach out and cooperate with them in some way. Idk them and maybe they have cool things to talk about or learn from them. Imagine them blasting an ukulele and being open to teach you. Or just being a good friend material.

I’d probably take both and do bonding with a cellar person over killing bugs.

I had family members die in GuLag for no reason. Some of my grand-gramps (supposedly) killed a fucker from the Poverty Comitee who weren’t any better than wagnerites today. I mean, two can play this game at the same time, to guess who had it worse.

Why red faschism is that bad of a name? It’s a veey different stray of ideas but it ultimately leads to the same level of poppulist and corrupt authoritarianism if left unchecked. Because it leaves any principles behind if they are inconvinient. What USSR shown, and what Pol Pot with his junta put onto display.

Almost the only big modern experiments in socialism happened in Makho’s free state and Catalonia. Both were treacherously put down by soviets, with lies in Pravda suggesting the latter weren’t really socialists to begin with. That, coming from a stalinist state in the late 1930s.

I lose any sense of a practical difference when I dig into their story. Yeah, no (vocal) praise for racial identity, unless we don’t feel you jews or you tatars are complicit enough. No (vocal) praise for an idea of a superhuman, unless you take ‘soviet men’ identity replacing your own too seriously or ask about what happened to disabled people after the war, like in Valaam. No (vocal) definition of what genetically-determined classes are, but there’s Gulag, inescapable serfdom in kolkhoz, exclusive shops for internal party apparatus, that is, surprisingly, filled with russians even in republics.

I was trying hard not to argue. I failed.

And no, Hitler wasn’t happy about this monicker. Idk if any public speech of his after coming to power even had this word. He hated everything -socialist and probably wanted to distance himself from it.

  • Faschism is self-eating in it’s nature, but it is still a tool of those who hope they’d die before it fails. We haven’t got rid of it. It is practiced as we speak.

Communism had little chances to be proven wrong or right. In the end, communist rhetoric is one thing, communist praxis is another. And the latter was rarely even practiced, although proclaimed like it was. I believe it gets some points right and needs to be experimented with.

  • Planning. They had set a goal, a deadline, a budget, assigned teams. To get some predictable result.

If a buggy mess isn’t their goal, they fucked up something else on their multiple releases. Like not meating deadlines and leaving little time to test and fix things. Or not having clear communication between departments. Or scrapping things they can’t implement in a hurry to launch at least some build (to fix it later?).

Their games are impressive and individual parts of them are cool. But why are they so janky as a whole? And do they just accept it?

Besides the old corpse of an engine and it’s CS, they have challenges like creating a big open-world with NPCs to qualify as a Beth-game, to update visuals and physics every time, to stay relevant with new trends in industry. But they still decide they would make it – and then launch F76 as it is.

It’s not toxic to say their production cycle is fucked and they sell betas. No shame in buying and enjoying them too. Why to defend them on repeated failure to deliver a working product tho?

  • Their games are great meaning they are skilled at that AND they are mismanaged to ship undercooked products every time.

They aren’t alone in that. But there are still products where bugs are a rare occasion rather than a part of their brand. They sell millions of copies, but keep doing that. It is right to point out Bethesda sucks in that department.
