On your Xiaomi first time you launched app, you can determine wether you always allow or allow on prompt (but you should still be able to manage that setting afterwards). You also need to disable battery optimization for that app and set app to be able to auto launch in background. This is at least what I do with my home assistant app to determine GPS location in background (app record every 15mn) and no issues with battery draining.
Give it a shot, description from fdroid says it supports subtitle download.
Long time I haven’t used it but nova video player should do it
Don’t have particular case to recommend as the one I have has been printed but get one where you can add an SSD. SD card are not well suited for home assistant due to the amount of overwriting.
Do also have a n100 processor running proxmox with 3 VM. Can’t try right now but can come back in a few days to let you know how much power it draws
Don’t have knowledge to answer your question but you could check how home assistant does it, I think that should point you to the right direction.
ZigBee are not designed for high bandwidth applications but +1 for Home assistant
here is my config yaml for climate. added hint for your case but i never had heat pump, does your heat pump only heat or does it also cool? exemple here is ok if only heat. If yours heat/cool, try some of the hacs thermostat addon. A quick search led me to this https://community.home-assistant.io/t/generic-thermostat-switch-between-heating-and-cooling/420053 which point to https://github.com/swingerman/ha-dual-smart-thermostat but i know they are more hacs addon for thermostat, you may need to search which is good for your use if the one above doesn’t suit your needs
climate:
- platform: generic_thermostat
name: Thermostat Chambre (Riscaldamento)
heater: switch.radiateur_chambre (device to toggle your heat pump)
target_sensor: sensor.sonde_chambre_temperature (your temp sensor)
min_temp: 12
max_temp: 21
ac_mode: false
target_temp: 19
cold_tolerance: 0
hot_tolerance: 0.1
min_cycle_duration:
seconds: 300
keep_alive:
minutes: 3
initial_hvac_mode: "off" (set this to heat if you want it to be active when HA start/reboot)
away_temp: 12
precision: 0.1
Unless you want some specific schedule, there is no need for automation, add config to yaml and it is good to go
Just use generic thermostat https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/generic_thermostat/
Smart home junkie just made a video about it https://youtu.be/o3yZWD_sFIE
Will try that soon
If I were you, I would try to disable some/all of the image features your TV has in settings. Could be those settings that create soap opera effect.
I’m not 100% sure but I have always read that playing movie at higher frame rate than source doesn’t make video looking better. To get best results, it is adviced to have your screen frame rate matching the one from source. That being said, can’t tell you how to achieve this on linux since I only watch stuff on TV using shield TV as a player.
I don’t use matrix so cannot answer with precision but you can create an automation and use vacuum state as trigger (ex: from cleaning to dock) and use notify platform to send to matrix whatever message you want
If z2m, zwavejs,… Are installed from the adon store of HA, all you have to do is create a full backup of HA, and all your automations will be saved and restored automatically.
I just tried and I think they are limitations on numerous android OS.
It isn’t exactly a widget but what I have been able to do is create a shortcut when long pressing home assistant app icon on my phone
To do so, go to home assistant app settings/compagnon app/shortcut Give it a name and description, not too short according to documentation (see below), next add under dahsboard
/lovelace/home?conversation=1
https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/integrations/android-shortcuts/
Edit: added another screenshot from settings (sorry in french but that should help). This was just a quick test, this is why I named it assist_widget. You can also change icon type
“do we straight up invade… like we did…” Do you know the mess that actually comes from there? And How much it had enforced extremist behaviour in other countries.
“What US needs to do?” Start by taking care of your own issues like guns, they will inevitably end up in dark market serving cartels and others, it would also stop massive killing happening in your own country at the same time… Priorities to education and healthcare, Stop invading countries (can’t remember last US invasion which was actually useful…), start supporting smart guys instead of bad/extremist guys so they don’t get more powerful (exemple: Masoud instead of Bin Laden in Afghanistan against Russia).
Cannot really answer your questions but if you ever swap to z2m and you keep the exact same friendly name you are using in zha, automations won’t need to be updated. I know it would be still a pain to re-pair but z2m is better than zha, so you will gain in the long term.
Relying on 4 nvme drive for low power isn’t ideal as nvme drive needs about twice more power compare to sata SSD.
