Thanks for the TL;DR
My Dad had an Amstrad that you had to lift the cover up and put your hand on the 3.5 floppy dribe to make it work. We had a game called ‘Magic Carpet’ or something. Later we got a Windows 3.5 computer back when it booted to DODS amd you ran Windows from a command. I remember playing Prince of Persia and a game called ‘Cosmos Comic Adventures’
You press Caps Lock more than return. Do you do a lot of shouting in the comments section?
I am genuinely interested in what you use it for. i assume it a programming things I’m not aware of.
Car sickness while eating a blueberry nutrigrain bar and now I can’t eat anything with cooked blueberries. I used to love eating blueberry muffins.
Fairphone dropped the 3.5mm jack too :(
Why stop there. Can we stop letting people fight even if they want to?
Its hard to imagine resizing that many windows can be smoothly done. Has anyone played this?
I don’t think any builds have been compiled yet. I have no real knowledge how, but but you could build your own by downloading developer tools an cloning the codebase. Probably better just to wait. How were you downloading Simple Mobile Tools previously?
They chose not to after researching options. Pretty sure they decides account portability was a key feature needed and AP doesn’'t do this. As in taking your account and all your posts and data witj you to a new server. I assume there is a technical reason why this would be very difficult to add to AP/Mastodon otherwise they could have just added it themselves.
What a relief. What I was dreading was that it was parody and M$ had added this to Windows 11.
Edinburgh resident here, just a fact not that it makes my opinion more valid. Really feel this will not stick and is just the councillors making statements to get us on side. It should not be down to city councils to even attempt to intervene on this. The industry should make smaller cars. There is also an obvious joke here for those defending SUVs in Edinburgh, the roads are so filled with pot holes, its like driving on a farm track. A pot hole literally snapped the axle on my (albeit very old) bike once.
I think the reason Gnome is good is the same thing that makes them insufferable. They believe there is a right way to do things, sometimes those are things you like, sometimes they aren’t.
Is this a joke?
I’m interested in a framework laptop for the environmental perspective, but I also think a pre-owned high end device would be faster and with smaller impact.
Contributing to OpenStreetMap. I try to bring it up because it would be great to get more contributors to the project, but either I have to explain “It’s Wikipedia, but a map” or they come out with misunderstandings about the project that aren’t worth correcting. E.g not liking the icons used to display points on the map.
The PineNote won’t be in stock until the community of developers figure out a proper Linux based OS for it. I dig through the forums occasionally and they are making progress, but it won’t be soon.
I own an Onyx Boox Air, but sadly can’t recommend it as Onyx refuse to comply with the Linux kernel license and don’t publish their changes. Not only is this a dick move it means custom ROMs and hacking is not likely to happen.
No, it does not have this feature, it is very privacy focused so it seems unlikely it would have a feature where tracking individuals is needed.
Interesting to see a client with an non hostile algorithm. It would be cool if algorithms where separate the clients and you could choose to use Quiblrs sorting method on another app.
