Meanwhile western militaries are emptying their stores of arms and there is no shortage of stories of US and other western military “retired” people being involved there. The average Ukrainian doesn’t give a fuck they’d much rather have peace than be at the center of a western globohomo proxy war with Russia. In fact, they wanted to side with Russia until western nations overthrew the government and told them they want a bloody pointless war where their grandparents will be conscripted after every young man is dead. Except the Jews, of course, who were helicoptered to safety and weren’t quite Ukrainian I guess.
I don’t think there is any grounds to talk about sacrificing citizens to Putin when Jewlensky is calling up grey haired seniors because everyone else is dead. Except for the Jews that were carefully led out of the country of course. Ukraine is already an aggressive fascist state. Now, just like every other western war in the past century, millions of innocent people will die and absolutely nothing of value will be accomplished for anyone other than globalist billionaires.

It was already shown the US government is decrypting all internet traffic, storing all internet traffic in their data center in Utah, that they monitor all video, audio, and text communications. That they wire tap all phone communications and store it. All of this is done without a warrant and in violation of the constitution. They claim it is legal because they don’t look at the data until they have a legal justification. So, they say they’re not spying because even though they’re spying on you, they only look at wire tap data if they have some way to legally justify it. They say it’s legal because if you communicate in any way that a foreign person might receive it then they’re actually spying on the foreign person’s communication even though your data is the one being stored as well. They say it’s legal because they only search records “related to a target.” So if they find one bad guy they can find anyone with a link to them out to a factor of 100. Have you heard of 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon? Imagine 100 degrees and that you have a relationship if you post something on Lemmy for example with EVERYONE who views it. So if some bad guy overseas views your Lemmy post you’re now connected to them and can be spied on using only the justification that they need to spy on that bad guy and anyone they “communicate with.”
Your answer might refer to specific branches of the government. Obviously someone working in government grant reviews for agriculture isn’t spying on everyone. But yes, the government as a whole is spying on everything you do. What’s the point of sourcing anything else if no one can even accept this simple one that even the main stream media covered extensively over the last decade? You would need to review all of these programs, understand the technology being discussed, and then you might be able to accept that, yes, the government is spying on you without a warrant and basically any electronic record you create is stored in an NSA database at a minimum. Then you’d also have to get people to begin to understand just how many records exist about their activity. That’s a whole other discussion.
This is just one item. Notice all the responses are “thats crazy, you’re a crazy person” but no one wants to actually engage in a discussion or refute the points. You’re the only one who made an effort. Look at how much I had to type up and source for just that one point and you might still try to argue and say it’s not true. I don’t have time to type a book in response to things people can look up themselves if they care to know the truth because if they don’t care to look it up they won’t care to read or understand me anyway.

The news obsessing over Trump bad every night is a scary reasoning for not wanting him in office. It means the propaganda and efforts to disenfranchise people are successful. Trump didn’t lie any more than any other President and often his lies are trivial things. Not like Bush lying about Iraq having WMDs or Biden lying about not getting 10% for the big guy and being involved in Hunter’s foreign business operations. The media is deciding how many lies they’re going to attempt to find and put on the news. I’m sure Trump has said some serious lies too but the media making a mockery of themselves only serves to cover those up by creating noise.
This plays into your first question. Trump said he would be a dictator just on the first day to close the border and promote domestic oil. The media, and Biden, is now parroting that he said he would be a dictator “on day one.” That is what he said, but he said for one day, not “forever after starting day one.” It’s a joke and frankly bait for the media and democrats. They are fake news and dishonest. They even went to court with the defense that they aren’t real news agencies just entertainment to avoid following laws actual journalists are supposed to follow.
You can see another example of this in the story I just HAD to sign up to Lemmy in order to respond to. That Trump said “even if you freeze to death it will be worth it to go vote for him in Iowa.” The news, and Lemmy, are clutching their pearls. Trump cares so little about you he doesn’t care if you freeze to death! It’s a joke! And it’s made all the more funny by people trying to mischaracterize it as a serious statement. You’re not American so you don’t really get it. COULD Trump be a dictator? Not if our government works the way it is supposed to. The very premise of a President becoming a dictator is funny to Americans and made all the more entertaining because Congress has tried to make the President a dictator and now they’re walking back their own actions in the face of Trump. The AUMF and them discussing removing it is a great example. Here is one of the central core responsibilities of Congress, authorizing war, and they legislated it away and gave the President that power but NOW they want to take it away because someone that isn’t part of the club might have those powers so they’re concerned. There is a much larger context at play as to why this is so funny and why people focusing on these jokes will only further promote Trump. I’m sorry but you definitely will be hearing about it on the news every single night because it’s extremely entertaining and that’s why the “news” who characterizes itself as entertainment and not news will keep promoting it.
Trump and his supporters never organized a violent attack on the Capitol so I’m not sure what point you’re making there. Believe me, if he and his supporters had ORGANIZED AN ATTACK on the Capitol it wouldn’t have looked anything like Jan 6. The crowd at the capitol was made up of federal agents, MAGA idiots, BLM, antifa, and so on. The only person killed there was standing right next to a BLM person who is the one who kept shouting at her to climb through the window. You could just as easily say Biden and his supporters organized nation wide rioting, looting, and murder. Many, many more people died as a result of BLM associated rioting than did at the Capitol. There was billions of dollars in damage done all around the country. Except, that would be disingenous, Biden and his supporters didn’t organize that. You can’t mischaracterize tens of millions of people by the actions of a few hundred. Neither the BLM rioting or the Capitol incident involved more than a few hundred people and neither was approved by, organized by, or involved with Trump or Biden.

No, it was a pretty common thing to talk about Trump starting WW3, not being trusted with nuclear codes, that he was going to start a war with Russia. Yet we see now that we are much closer to WW3 under Biden than Trump. People can’t seem to remember this stuff but was absolutely the narrative.
It’s strange if I look up Biden WW3 it looks like he is outright talking about WW3 but I don’t see any media talking about “this is how Biden could start WW3” or “Biden could start a war with Russia.”

Reported, please keep discussion civil. I’m not a “dumbass tankie” I’m just stating the truth. So far the facility is fine and this person was released from prison. That stands in stark contrast to the US journalist who did make an accurate assessment of Ukraine’s government and it cost him his life.
I think Canadians might want to look in a mirror before worrying about what is happening in the US.
It’s somewhat concerning to me because there is this general “save our Democracy” push now in the media around stopping Trump. It’s concerning because many of the things they said we should worry Trump would do they ended up doing under Biden. It wasn’t that long ago we were told to worry Trump was going to start WW3 by attacking Russia as one example.
Is this more projection about their own intent?
