FWIW, it’s cause I’ve been planning this exact concept since 2002 lol. Finally worked up the courage to make it happen. I remember the days of using Winamp and running the entire thing off your own PC. We’ve come quite a long way.
Speaking of which, there is a way to request tunes from the database when no DJ is connected. it’s kind of hidden, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the webpage, you’ll see a “send an Auto DJ request” link just below the live DJ request form.
Yeah it’s cause I just switched domains. Bad timing; sorry about that. It may take up to 12-24 hours for all DNS servers to update and correctly point to the website.

I feel this. I’ve been dreaming of running my own internet radio station ever since SHOUTcast first came out. Well it only took 25 years but I finally made it happen, yet I’m too scared to promote it cause I’m afraid that no one will want to join on as a DJ or even tune in. So here I sit, paying for the server space every month for nothing, lying to myself that this’ll finally be the day that I release it to the public…

Communication is key in a healthy relationship
People always tell me this and honestly I’m tired of trying. She’s not the communication type, so my attempts go nowhere.
I’ve shown her similar memes in the past (especially ADHD memes) but she never understands them and I’m left frustrated. She still thinks the “odd” things I do are done simply to annoy her. I’m convinced that neurodivergence is just one of those things that you can never understand nor relate to unless you have it.
ADHD person here living with a normie girlfriend and apparently it’s not. She gets so upset when I add my own personal anecdotes to the conversation, but when I sit there in silence she accuses me of not listening.

This doesn’t sound like an ADHD thing. I have it and my GF doesn’t, but I still do all the vacation planning. I like getting the most out of my trip while she just goes with the flow.
I wouldn’t but my girlfriend does, despite me trying to explain to her why desktops are better. I don’t buy laptops.
I lost all interest the moment I saw that it has no dedicated GPU.
For now the current plans are to use Discord due to its robust bot support. But it wouldn’t be a bad idea to use something less-corporate like IRC. No promises yet.
