There was a somethingawful feature with a bunch of these a very long time ago. Fuckin’ Jesus stealing heroin.

For those of us that have used Sync for a long time it has a lot of ui/ux options and we know how to find them.
If someone wants to use a weird definition for a word and hit me because of that they’re prolly someone I wouldn’t spend a lot of time talking to anyway.
I randomly swap family members and friends out sometimes, too. It’s pretty sweet being able to share all of my apps, books, games and yt.
Fair enough. There’s just been a lot of hot takes from people that don’t have the full context.
I mean do what you want. I pay for a lot of shit just to support devs.
I’ve gone through this a few times. When he (and his users) realized he wasn’t going to continue developing Sync for reddit, he asked us what to do. We requested the Lemmy app. He’s always been super receptive to us and we’re comfortable supporting him. He’s developing it alone and got fucked by a company trying to inflate themselves to cash in on an IPO.
When he realized he couldn’t continue with reddit he asked us, his users, what to do. We asked him to make a port for Lemmy.
It’s kind of amusing to me because he asked us what to do and we asked him to make a lemmy app. Part of his decisionmaking is that he knows many of us are willing to reward him for what he does.
Check out all the UI options. The customization is really awesome, even if it’s a little confusing at times. The search box in options helps.
After using Sync for so long and having it set up just so other apps feel janky, through no fault of their own. I have it set up very information dense with amoled dark theme and colorful comment indents. I could kind of look over theme issues, but the interaction just felt off.
Connect was what I was using, though, and I preferred it over wefwef/Voyager which had a less wasteful feeling UI to me.
Am I misremembering or does it have a lot of made up terms?
