My partner keeps telling me to stop trying to install Linux on things… It will fix all the problems though! Like someone that only ever uses chrome they could just have an Ubuntu install and I am sure they will be able to manage using firefox.

I want to like GoG but their Linux support can be pretty awful at times. It took over a week for X4 to update the Linux version on GoG compared to steam that in the end I refunded it and bought on steam. Also proton is pretty nice to have.

I remember as kids we shared music by Bluetooth or copying files on a memory stick. You are not stopping that.

Tbh I thought they would have already gone subscription by now. When they announced win11 after saying 10 was the last I was very surprised it wasn’t either free or subscription based. Now I wonder if they will at some point release win12 with AI tools behind pro and make that subscription only.

I use Linux so I won’t be touching it but will see how it goes. Usually end up having to know at least a little about this as people ask me to fix their windows PCs

Farm shops, so literally on the farm. Are also very expensive! The ones I see are usually targeting the middle class market so I don’t really go there. I would go to a barn if it was cheaper than a supermarket

Pretty much. At some point stuff like this relies on everyone accepting it. The man in the high castle is a pretty good example of it actually. John didn’t grow up a nazi, doesn’t genuinely believe in it, but goes along with it so he can continue to provide for his family.

In the end what difference does it make it you are just going along with it or if you believe it?

Some white people have no power and some black people have loads of it. Can we just stop this categorization of people by race for if they can or can’t do something?

UK here but in my experience farmers markets cost vastly more. Shame because if a farmer just asked for cash and I can fill a sack of potatoes myself for less cost than a supermarket I would go for it. I don’t need a fancy hipster shop front.

I worry we are already getting to that point with things like Android/iOS. I don’t have a phone running either. My choice to do so has offended a few people or they try and argue with me but so far that is as far as it has gone.

It probably helps that I cycle rather than drive, so I don’t need to worry about permission for parking. A lot of parking for a car requires an app now.
