Haha, should have known you can’t post that shit around here.
But I agree, I use Brave and it’s awesome! They even have a private LLM!

If you try googling any of this, you will find a shit ton of christian cope
“Cope” is basically the foundation of most religions.
Mostly because 90% of what’s in The Bible is gobblederemoved, twisted and contorted by a wide variety of opportunistic con men over the course of thousands of years, written in such a vague way as to easily be interpreted to mean whatever they want it to mean.
Similar to the way Trump speaks in vague generalities and word salad, and people hear whatever they want to hear, which of course leads to massive problems when you’re the leader or aspiring leader of the free world.
Coming at him with a personal insult is not the way to go about this.
The correct way is to point out that most Christmas traditions are not rooted in Christianity, but in paganism.
You’re not paying to see ads. They’re just subsidizing the cost of the service.
I’m lazy so here’s lazy delicious veggie tip:
Get a rice cooker. Get rice and FROZEN pre-processed (chopped) veggies. These are still very inexpensive, require no preparation, last forever in the freezer, and are actually FRESHER than “fresh” veggies, since they are picked when ripe and then flash frozen rather than picked prematurely and sprayed with a ripening agent. Your rice cooker should come with a veggie tray so you can cook the rice and veggies simultaneously. Drop them in there and fire it up. Get yourself some “simmering sauce” and heat it up in a pan for ~15 minutes and baby you got a stew goin’.
There are several "new YouTube"s. The problem is getting people to transition to them. And this is intended to do exactly that.
That’s the exact opposite of what most people want from an app like this.
People that don’t care about their privacy is exactly what makes it so hard to just exist privately. I shouldn’t have to give up my rights because other people don’t care about them
I see a lot of people saying “but that’s how creators get paid”
And they’re not wrong. But they put themselves in this position when they uploaded their videos to servers owned by one of the worst corporations in the world, with massive privacy implications, and no alternatives.
I watch them on other platforms when they make it available.
Why would they change the name instead of the version number? 🤦♂️
Can’t speak for others but mine puts up big intrusive banners if you don’t connect it to the internet.
Yet, they use
Brave.Chrome
FTFY
Just disable the ads, crypto and telemetry and suddenly none of those things are a problem anymore, just like Firefox.
Sure we can but will we? No.
Twitter has only lost ~10% of it’s userbase after repeatedly abusing its own users. Reddit probably less. After everything we’ve learned about Meta, tens of millions of people signed up on day 1 to join their new service, Threads. Google Chrome still has like 80% market share.
Changing is honestly a trivial ask, but we won’t, because no one cares.
I had the original Osmo Action. It wouldn’t do anything unless I connected it to an app and registered an account, so I returned it. So…that’s my experience.
So sad and unfortunate that we’re indoctrinating children to be spied on.
I pretty much just assume “Free To Play” games are full of microtransactions, is that wrong?
E: to be clear, I don’t think microtransactions are an inherently bad thing. In fact, if people want to make games where other people with more money front the costs of development, I’m all about it.
What I hate is being reminded every 5 minutes that it has garbage skins that I can pay IRL money for.
is gnome meant to be read as ‘genome’?
If we’re being pedantic, yes 🙂
I am not a programmer by any means but I know enough to know they did their research.
Except Tyrell called it “nome” instead of “g’nome” and I’m pretty sure TOR exit nodes can only see unencrypted data and the entry node can only see who sent it.
Why would they do that when people use this one all the same?
