Plenty if you study history and anthropology. How do you think humans lived for millenia before the invention of currency? You do realize thousands of years separate that from advent of trade and long after we settled down and formed permanent communities?

While this is true, this is severely short sighted and misses the perspective of being impoverished and constantly being unable to make ends meet even after you have cut luxury from your life.
This is a prime case for the abolition of intellectual property rights.
