Relevant portion of interview here.

“I think it’s a legitimate question to say, is this an episode or is this a condition? When people ask that question, it’s completely legitimate — of both candidates.”

Of course she’s quick to “both-sides” the night, but that’s politics for you. If she’s saying this during an interview, I can only speculate on what’s going on behind closed doors. The wagons are not closing around the Biden campaign.

I’ve seen it said a lot that most Dems can’t say that they want Biden to drop out, even if they really do, because they don’t want to hurt their own political careers by being seen as “out of step” with the party. I appreciate that Pelosi, as someone who doesn’t have to worry about her career so much, is coming out and saying this.

Is Pelosi forgetting how old she is? She is older than Biden and Trump, it’s time for her to retire instead of trying to criticize others

Instead of? Nah. But I’ve never seen her look as hopelessly lost as I saw him the other night. It wouldn’t been pitiable ift’wer anyone else

Of course he looked lost, he had to make sense of what Trump was saying and be ready to respond to it.

It definitely seems like the Dems are beginning to manufacture consent for replacing Biden on the ticket. I’m skeptical as to whether that’d be the right play here, but every option needs to be on the table to give them the best chance at preventing a second Trump term.

Not running the incumbent is why we got the first Trump term. Swapping out your incumbent is like hitting on a 19 in blackjack. It’s not the play.

So you admit there isn’t actually a significant difference between the two. Just two standard issue neoliberal boomer trashcans we’re forced to support and lose to fascism anyways.

… why are you talking like we’re in a debate?

Seriously, it’s not a “gotcha” to point out Pelosi is awful. I’m not being forced to support Pelosi at all, we’re talking about a hypothetical that you suggested, not the current reality.

Are you alright? If you just want to rant about neoliberal bullshit I can listen. I’m a socialist, I get it.

the only people who are pushing the “biden must drop out” nonsense are republicans and the media that wants republicans elected.

    period.

biden and harris are fine in 2024 just like they were in 2020.

and harris will be a great president in 2028.
