I’m aware. That doesn’t mean you actually get healthcare though. Most places won’t take it. Those that do either have long waiting lists or won’t actually give decent treatment. It’s rare if not impossible to find a decent provider that takes Medicaid in my area, even just for primary care.
Medicaid isn’t available for poor people without a disability in every state. This article is a couple of years old (it is now 10 states that haven’t expanded Medicaid instead of 12), but the coverage gap is real.
Immigrants get better healthcare than many Americans. They get Medicaid unless they are disqualified by having too high of an income.

But Medicaid doesn’t mean healthcare (sadly)
Medicaid is health insurance. If you don’t make any money, you don’t pay any deductibles for healthcare. The price scales with your income.

I have it in NY. Every provider I’ve needed accepts it. There’s no waiting list. What state are you in that doesn’t accept it?
The reddest state in the land
When I was living in VA it was fucking hell to find someone to accept Medicaid.
Was that before the Medicare for All act of 2023? It’s very different now.
Before. I moved back to MD before '23, and things have always been pretty accomodating here.

Maybe not, but it’s available to immigrants according to the Federal Government.

Is that not also true of citizens unless they earn too high am income?
I believe so. I’m just pointing out the meme is wrong. I wrote that it’s better because Medicaid has no deductibles on most care.
A diffuser part of the meme’s details is wrong. The rest tracks. So don’t get lost in the details when there’s a bigger message.
The meme says it what they think.
Yes but also “too high of an income” isn’t even a living wage.
