Maybe not such a shitpost but the mere existence of things like Lemmy and kBin is comforting, especially after living through the enshittification of Reddit.
Same, its existence gives me a little of hope even in the toughest moments. I don’t care if people aren’t always nice/polite, you have to deal with it IRL or on any online platform.
Lemmy has always been a sort of “cure” for me, listening to different people’s opinions and learning something new or a new perspective on things every day.
You should try Linux. I use Arch btw.
The perfect Lemmy response.
Is this our the narwhal bacons at midnight?
Are you using Wayland or X11?
You guys have a display server?
Video card drivers are too much bloat so I instead draw on the monitor with a dry erase marker
Nice to see somebody make a more meta post that isn’t complaining about Lemmy/announcing they’re leaving “the echo chamber” because they go around calling everybody slurs or something and then complain because they “got banned from communities for literally no reason.”

“Makes Me Feel Better” :3
Haven’t used reddit since before Lemmy now. I think it’s soon almost a year without them. :)
Ok sometimes I visit their site if a search engine links to some response. But then I’m out of there right away.
I leech reddit instead of seeding it now.
Literally 1984
Me too; I prefer Lemmy now but I’ve gone to specific subs on Reddit when I didn’t know where else to find certain info and I’ve noticed a serious reduction in both quantity and quality of posts. I kept wondering if it was in my head but it’s so many different subs I think it must be the case. Good riddance!
Is shitposting just becoming the default sub for lemmy?
I’m sure it already is for some of us :D
