I kinda liked the made up stories, like some guy saying he hit his wife in the face cause she was ‘being hysterical’ just makes me upset about the state of the world.
Clearly fake “I sold my friends dog because she ate the last muffin” is fun.
Find a Reddit thread that’s about the current war between Israeli government and Hamas. I’m not going to search for these threads, got enough of Redditors behavior. Just google something along the lines of ‘‘Israel-Hamas war’’ and you’ll find upon the threads, just take a solid minute or two and you’ll notice the comments.
+1 for RSS but it doesn’t really replace the comments. granted on reddit the quality of discussion has for sure declined and lemmy is still a little dead sometimes. but it still provides value (to me)
someone should build a distributed comment system that works with plain old RSS feeds
Anything you want from Reddit - use an RSS-feed. Reddit itself is not worth to use at all.

Here’s a thread from several months ago that adresses it as well: Can we all just agree that killing civilians is bad and cheering it is repulsive?
