All cheap smartphones have a fingerprint sensor but all laptops dont have one. Is it because of security concerns or spacing reasons?

That’s not true, especially so in a work environment.

I use the fingerprint reader on a work Apple MacBook 30+ times a day. Super useful for password managers and laptops that have to be locked multiple times a day.
