It’s an easy target to generate outrage. Most courses that are closing either aren’t profitable or the owners feel are better selling for the land.

They waste an insane amount of water and there’s lots in places where water is in short supply.

So, it’s like when they say Biden is going to force everyone to become vegan when people point out how the beef industry causes global warming.

There’s a small kernal of truth at the very center:

Golf courses aren’t worth their environmental impact.

But no one in power gives enough of a shit to do anything about it. It’s being exaggerated so people get upset

First I pretended they came for my gas range, and I said a lot of stuff because I’m addicted to outrage.
