I often delete old posts because sharing my entire post history feels intrusive to me. However, now that deleted posts show up on my user profile feed since version 0.19, finding my active posts has become difficult. I have to dig through many deleted posts to locate content I haven’t removed.

It would be very helpful to have the ability to toggle deleted posts on/off in the user profile feed. That way I could hide them and easily scroll through my current content.

Alternatively, having a separate feed or tab just for deleted posts could work too. That would consolidate them in one place rather than mixed in everywhere.

I could save my non-deleted posts to locate them in the saved tab, but then I can’t use that tab just for my favorite posts.

You realize with the way lemmy works, when you delete a post, it only deletes it for sure on your instance*. Every other instance it is federated with gets a request to delete that post but it may or may not be acted on. I’ve made posts, realized I misread what I was replying to, deleted my comment, and still got replies for weeks.

*or the one you’re posting to, not 100% sure here

Just sharing because a lot of people (myself included) didn’t realize that’s how it worked.

Yeah I feel like maybe this isn’t the right kind of forms for OP. Maybe something more anonymous like 4chan is their speed
