I ask because if I start talking about a far-right nationalist group that pretty well checks off Eco’s 14 signs, hates the Jewish elite, “sexual deviants”, socialists, racial minorities, and has a bunch of members goose stepping around sig heiling, as their leader goes on massive hateful public tirades at rallies in front of a mob of adoring sycophants, people might get the wrong idea.
