The general public would need to boycott or literally not be able to afford the prices of the good. Unfortunately, we all are very poorly disciplined in that regard, myself included.

Tesco is the worst, haven’t been there for months (as a customer). Tesco Clubcard, Kaufland Card, Billa Bonus club, Lidl Plus (app required), Coop Jednota Club. There is no alternative. Supermarket chains killed most small shops. Oh, and you may still need an app to manage it even if you have a plastic card.
