nothing is just black or white

I would agree most things are subjective (there is a limited degree of objectiveness like two planes hit two towers). That said, care to explain what else US troops are fighting for?

Also objective: The so called “war on terror” actually led to way more terror and helped the larges terror organizations to grow and gain power and weapons.

Subjective thoughts about that: They knew and they wanted this to happen. The goal was never to fight terrorism, the goal was having some kind of long-term rival to justify constant war, to give billions of dollars to arms industry, to keep undifferentiated nationalism as high as possible, to distract the masses from their economical exploitation, to have a fake reason to overthrow governments (actual reasons being economic and imperialist of course), to keep undemocratic “exceptional” rules in place, etc. etc.

I mean, the US troops do provide a lot of aid around the world. They do more than fight. You can argue an imbalance, sure. And it’s also clear they can bring some measure of stability with their presence as we’ve seen what can happen the moment they’re removed.

Not really, troops only purpose is to serve the US interest. Any “help” they might look like to give, is due to something that aligns with their interest. The US military is a terrorist organization.

I can’t reason someone out of a position they didn’t use reason to arrive at. That’s an unfalsifiable claim. Yes, the US does things that won’t hurt them and has been known to do things that help them. I’m sure you’ve done things that is in your best interest as well. That’s a far cry from proof of terrorism. It’s absolute insanity and conspiracy theory to make that jump. I’m not going to continue this discussion.

You got a list from Stalin and Mao as well?

              No?

              You fucking tankies man.

It’s not bad if an authoritarian regime disguised as communism does it?

Yes america has done fucked up shit but at least we aren’t backing the invaders against Ukraine.

If you guys all think this ideology is so great, either buy some land and give it a shot, or move to Russia or china, since y’all love them so much.

Lol, “America, love it or leave it all over again” 😂. Same shit that people were spewing whenever people spoke against the war in Vietnam. You brainwashed yankies love defending genocide more than you love oppressing other countries in the name of capital. If America is so great why can’t you take criticism without getting so defensive? 😂 Because you all know America is cancer, but need to defend it so you can live with yourself and pretend that you are not the actual bad guys. Americans level of cognitive dissonance is definitively something to admire.

Here is a good and well documented list of every atrocity USA committed, it’s BAD:

                https://dessalines.github.io/essays/us_atrocities.html

                USA is a terrorist state!

I don’t need that list, I’m aware of how fucked up we’ve been and even still are.

I grew up pre and post 9/11, I know how bad our presidents have been.

We have our problems, but we’ve come a long way from where we were and we can keep heading that way.

In my lifetime we have made leaps and bounds.

Have faith friend, in people, not governments.

Instead of supporting people who commit atrocities, preach about the values and ideals.

Militant conversions only work on militant attitudes, and then you have the Hammer/Nail problems.

Instead of capitalism bad, explain socialism good.

Like you guys (socialists, not authoritarian ass tankies) have so many good ideas, but complete revolution is chaos, and people love to have the trains run on time, so they drift to the first person to take power, and usually the people lining up to grab power are the least equipped for it.

If you guys would spend half the time you do on death to america, as you do on spreading the virtues of your ideals you would probably he way farther ahead.

I posit to you that the Hippies did more to further the cause of socialism and equal rights for all, than every other communist/socialist combined, with the exception of like Vietnam, and that is with their Own government fighting tooth and nail against them.

I hear mixed things about Vietnam right now, didn’t even know they were still communist, but from what i hear life is getting way better there, assuming they don’t go the china “everything but slavery” workshops way.

Y’all should promote them more, hell they even outlasted the American war machine.

Okay… Where’s the documented list of every good they did so that you can actually look at both sides and make a reasoned decision…

Wait? You don’t have one? So you’re biased as fuck and only looking at one dataset that corroborates your bias… Who’d have thunk!

It’s the same list, good actions go at the bottom, it’s just empty right now because they haven’t done anything good. It’ll be appended when they die.

                  That’s called delusion.

                  If

On February 3rd, 2022, US troops murdered 6 children and 4 women during a raid in Syria.

Is worthy to be called an “Atrocity” then there’s plenty of cases where 10+ lives were saved that should be on the other side of this equation. You’re just lying to yourself.

                  Source: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/10/14/opinion/how-much-good-has-united-states-really-done-world/

In 2003 Clinton’s successor, George W. Bush, launched the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Since then, PEPFAR has expanded from 15 countries to more than 50 and from an initial commitment of $15 billion to a total of $80 billion. It has saved millions of lives and remains one of the most successful humanitarian projects in modern history.

It really doesn’t take all that much to show that you’re full of it.
