CEOs tend to be people who have worked their way up through large organizations, unlike billionaire entrepreneurs or hedge fund managers. The CEOs of America’s largest companies almost universally oppose Trump because he is the antithesis of who they are—servant leaders who have succeeded by bringing people together to win as a team, with integrity, global thinking, and open minds.

This year, Trump has taken increasingly extreme anti-business, including proposing draconian, universal 10% tariffs on all imports from all countries, which would hurt businesses and consumers while raising prices across the board. Trump has also suggested he would curtail the independence of the Federal Reserve. No CEO relishes the prospect of a politicized Fed driving destabilizing see-saw swings in monetary policy to satisfy presidential whims.

      You’re too out of touch to realize that most people don’t have an immediate negative reaction to the word “CEO”.

      I swear, Lemmy leftists are convinced that Liberals are a fringe group in America, and that leftists really run the game. I wish that were true, but it isn’t.

      I didn’t think it has much if an impact at all to be honest. I mean, CEOs with “ethics” want to make a difference in our lives? Lobby for better regulation. Lobby to make stock buybacks illegal (again). Lobby for better worker protections, wages, benefits, universal healthcare…

      CEOs “telling” me how much they care is the same as the 50 cent cookie the company gave me for best quarterly profits ever. It’s bullshit and motivated by self interest.

    Incredible that someone could believe that, say it with a straight face and still not be gullible enough to support trump.

      The CEO of my company is there because he is the owner’s rich friend’s son; definitely didn’t work his way up through the organization like they’re saying.

      It’s how they see themselves, bless their hearts. There’s one thing they’re right about, though. Hedgefundies and billionaire entrepreneurs are an unspeakable scourge on this society.

      We will never be free until the last billionaire is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.
