minus-squareoctopus_ink@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·9 days agoFreetube on desktop Linux hasn’t worked for me for a long time - but that doesn’t seem to be the case for most people. Any tips regarding settings? I’d say it’s been at least 3 or 4 months since I could reliably use it.
minus-squarecarly™@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up0·9 days agoIf you have it set to use the Invidious backend that might be the issue, since most Invidious instances don’t work at the moment.
minus-squareDomi@lemmy.secnd.melinkfedilinkarrow-up0·9 days agoFreeTube has significantly more features, so there’s not much reason to switch either way. On my phone I have to use a NewPipe fork in order to get SponsorBlock working. A sync feature between FreeTube and NewPipe would be appreciated though.

minus-squarehostops@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up0·9 days agoI believe Tubular is just descendent of “newpipe sponsorblock”. I believe they are from the same developer who discontinued previous project.
