Y’know what, I’m going to actually address your post on the merits, against my better judgement. (Against my better judgement, because I suspect you’re going to try and suck me in to a time wasting debate on semantics.)

The lie in your meme is the framing. You’ve set up two things that may well be true, but you’ve framed it in such a way to imply equivalency between the two candidates. If you simply wanted to point out Harris’s hypocrisy, there was no point to bring Trump into it.

There’s also the fact that in both examples, Trump represents by far the worse on both issues. It’s like saying “Abraham Lincoln is a racist, so anyone voting for him over the slaver candidates has decided racism isn’t a deal-breaker!” It’s like, fuck. popular sentiment and the structure of our decision-making apparati means we only have so many fucking choices available to us at a given time. Sorry for not sitting it out so we can jerk off to the intensification of already-shitty situations? We’re trying to make the best decision with what we have, not torment the oppressed so we can pretend to have a halo over our head.

Exactly. Harris and Trump both have pro-Israel policies which I’m strongly against. Trump’s stance is far worse, AND he’s a racist, misogynist, corpo sellout piece of shit.

(I know you’re asking a rhetorical question, but I feel like answering so I can share some information with those who may not know it…)

Pfft, of course they are not against it. Most of them (certainly all the right-wing evangelicals, plus the racist bigots, and that large intersection of both those groups) are getting weak at the knee over what’s happening in Gaza and the West Bank right now.

Why? Because the ‘Christians’ among them believe the more murder happens there, the quicker their Aryan Jesus will be forced down from his clouds to begin Armageddon. Plus of course, it’s ‘brown-skinned’ Muslims who are being murdered, which they also get giddy about. And if a few Jewish people die in the process? Meh, they wouldn’t care, because in their hearts they are also anti-semitic.

The people who embrace this belief are fucking monsters.

    “Genocide is a deal breaker.”

“Okay. What outcome are you contributing towards?”

    “More genocide.”

    Very moral?

So instead, you want to contribute to more genocide abroad in Ukraine as well and home with lgbtq people. And racism of course. What a great position to hold.

Don’t worry R2. You’ll get another kick at the can in another 4 years. By then the death toll of the ‘genocide’ will be about 250k and assuming that isn’t enough to convince people anti-zionism is a fool’s errand it may be enough to give you a chance at fielding a sympathetic rep.

Trump wants to turn Gaza into a crater, and Harris has pleaded for the humanity of Palestinian people… Plus, Trump is a racist.

What a stupid “both sides” argument you’ve made…

I guess when you’re a single issue voter, and your single issue is “Everyone who isn’t as anti-Zionist as me is pro-Genocide”, everything looks like genocide.

    Where’s the lie?

Well, you said “Not all Trump supporters are racist”, so that alone…
