That shit is always trending and I’m sure they’re not just Koreans putting it up on YouTube. Aside the eye candy (the girls are hot) I don’t see what’s so great about it, the choreography can be impressive, at times, but that’s it.

Voice talent isn’t anything special and the music is so derivative from US pop and even some Latin reggaeton… Like bad copies of those already meh music genres.

Also the industry side of it rubs me the wrong way… Why are the girls like drones of each other, everyone seems like they went to the same plastic surgeries to look facially the same, Korea in general seems OBSESSED with that “doll” look, and btw that goes for the boy bands too. There’s no identity in the members, I don’t see what’s so attractive about those dudes but girls like them wtf? At least the Backstreet Boys looked like different men, Koreans make them look like a bunch of NAVY Seals in comparison lmao

I dunno man, if you are a girl wouldn’t you a dude that, yeah, he’s attractive but also that looks manly? That can physically protect you? And that does not has a doll face?..

Most importantly, the dark side of the industry behind it is horrible, BSB and N’sync had it bad as well but it seems the Koreans have it worse, is like they’re trained to be robots and not artists. I only see a group of trained monkeys. Even when I see an artist that I despise and is a bad role model (Cardi B) i can tell that she is 100 percent HER, authentic, for better and for worse. I don’t see that in those Koreans.

    It’s a band. Not a dating game.

If anyone’s obsessed with something, it appears you’re obsessed with things you claim not to enjoy. Sounds more like you have some personal insecurities you should be addressing.

I don’t understand the obsession with Taylor Swift. Although, other than “Shake it off”, I wouldn’t recognize any of her songs. I’m a middle aged straight guy and have every one of Billy Eilish’s records. I think she’s talented and I like her vibe. My 77 year old uncle was the biggest Cindy Lauper fan I’ve ever known. My 80 year old uncle is super conservative and loves broadway musicals. My white suburbanite senior mother basically only listens to black jazz and R&B music.

To offer some sort of reasonable answer though, a lot people just do what other people are doing. I’ve never watched most of the popular tv shows like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad or Sopranos. Most of the people I know watched these shows so they were able to bond as a community to reflect on a shared experience. Moreover, I do not understand the obsession with Donald Trump or how anyone could ever consider electing hims as president one time, let alone a second time.

The fact that you believe any woman is interested in a musician who could physically protect them is just bonkers. Believing “manly” is defined by a person’s ability to be protective is also concerning. There’s more important and fulfilling things to direct your attention towards in life. If you’re unable to move on from this, I would suggest you may need to discuss this with a therapist to see if you have something troubling you.

How about you go to a therapist? Why are you assuming shit on ME? Insecurity my ass, I’m saying what I’m seeing that’s it. Are the dudes fragile looking or not? Do they look dehumanised or not? You sound like a butthurt fan to be honest, since like you want to assume on people the worst just by your dumb logic.

And you’re wrong on the dating part, just read the comments those videos get by girls, they wanna fuck those guys (I’ve read some nasty shit).

This is not for you to tell others what they should or should not look like.

Adding the fact that you’re so obsessed that you’re reading the comments from girls who want to date them is a very clear sign that you do have some issues to address. This is not healthy or normal.

It seems like you are the fragile one, or at least your ego is. You feel that your masculinity is threatened by the amount of power held by others whom you perceive to be weaker than you. You’re insecure in yourself when everything you believe to be what a man is supposed to be is perhaps working against you. The matter is that what’s actually working against you is your toxic presumption of what a man is supposed to be. I’m sure there are plenty of women (and men) who find you very attractive and appreciate the masculinity you can bring to a relationship. These people probably aren’t fans of Kpop stars so you have nothing to worry about.

It’s very, very odd that you’re fixated on this.

Dude I don’t give a fuck about who wants to fuck who. I DON’T. I observe things, that’s it. Stop assuming shit about me, this ISN’T about me. I’m not fixating in anything, my main point is the lifeless feel and industry behind that kpop monster anyways. Why are you trying to paint me like a creep or some shit. I’m not looking for women comments, I just read stuff there in 20 seconds, listen the music and left the video. What’s wrong with you?

I feel no need to be protected in my day to day life. My partner provides love, companionship, empathy, and a listening ear. Sure, some women might care about protection and toughness or whatever you’re on about, but attraction varies from person to person. Most other women I know want to be heard and loved. People are allowed to want to fuck “fragile” men. They can be hot without needing to be “manly.” You’re putting so much stock in traditional gender norms, not realizing that it’s not women that actually care about those. It’s the men that are trying to be that. Some women will, of course, but women aren’t a monolith. Want an example? Timothy Chalamet is very commonly considered to be an extremely attractive actor, and he’s far more androgynous and “fragile,” as you put it, than your traditional masculine ideal. Just as many women might be attracted to any number of different appearances, because people are different! The days of needing a strong man to support us frail women are over. Your insecurities and ideas of masculinity are clouding your judgment.

To answer your question succinctly: No, they aren’t fragile looking, they’re just slim. No, they don’t look “dehumanized,” they look like people. The dehumanization happens in industry, not with their faces. I know people that look similar. Some women find them hot, and want to fuck them, and idolize them, because they are hot! They’re very attractive people, if that aesthetic is what you’re into! If your only metric is how likely they are to win a fight, sure, they probably aren’t at the top of the scale, but the vast majority of people DON’T CARE.

They told you to look into therapy because you have an unhealthy idea of what women are attracted to and what masculinity should be. They called you insecure because you sound insecure (why do women like the weak little boys and not big manly men :(( they look so frail and weak, don’t women know they can’t protect them??). Whether or not that’s how you’re actually thinking, it’s how it comes across. Instead of realizing that some people do like strong men, you took it to a place of jealousy and defensiveness.

TLDR: Different strokes for different folks. Don’t obsess over people you don’t find attractive still being attractive to others, as it isn’t good for your mental health and isn’t a good look.

Way to miss my point completely. The guys look like artificial fragile teens, those are facts. And btw I think the same about the girls.

And btw yeah that Timothy actor looks fragile looking as well but at LEAST does not give me the vibes of being a lifeless puppet.
